BAN 27/3 (9.1 ov, Mominul Haque 5*, Simon Harmer 1/8)

More on the day’s play will come in the report by Mohammad Isam and maybe a piece in the series page, so check it out. For now, it’s goodbye from me, Ekanth, on behalf of my fellow commentator, Srivathsa Vennelaganti, and our scorer, Binoy George.

5:48 pm: Looks like it’s stumps. This has been like time-travel. Bangladesh’s top-order came out and tried to negotiate with spin and luck. The spin was away, as was the luck. Outside edges were taken, balls were missed among the run-scoring shots that took the score to 27, which is a morsel of the 413-run target. Maharaj and Harmer should be favourites to end things early tomorrow, Bangladesh would look to ensure that lightning does not strike twice, at least not as dramatically as it did in Durban although it looks likely. The hosts’ decision to bat positively and give their bowlers a rest looks to have come off.
